RIAA.com Down for the Count

It seems to be back up now but the RIAA.com, Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA)was down for the count this weekend, subject of an DOS attack. On Saturday morning, TorrentFreak's Ernesto posted a story about the subversion of the website operated by the industry collective was taken down by way of a "simple SQL injection," after which much of the website down and listed the information as erased.

Not surprised? Many people hate the RIAA for the way they have handled peer-to-peer music sharing and how they go after torrent users.

Maybe then this puts a smile on your face or then again, maybe not.
