Pioneer CDJ-2000

Pioneer CDJ-2000.

The new offering from the defacto Pro DJ CD player Pioneer has got some great features. Among our favorites is the ability to use many different media formats for playback on different devices (MP3, AAC, WAV and AIFF audio files on CD, DVD, SD Card, USB and external drives) and the ability to link the devices. Linking the devises enables you to use the same media library accoss upto 4 CDJ-2000's. For instance you could plug a USB drive in one CDJ, press the Link button on another CDJ-2000 and instantly access music from the same drive, possibly eliminating over half your DVD's and CD's. The Needle Search function helps DJs instantaneously get to a specific part of a song with a simple touch of the Needle Search pad. Found directly below the CDJ-2000's high resolution LCD panel, the touchpad lets the DJ "place the needle" and jump quickly to a specific part of a music track. The LCD panel features a large 6.1-inch full-color 480 x 234 LCD panel for displaying song titles and jacket art as well as detailed track information. We can't wait to get our hands on them for a further review. Pioneer PRO DJ gear continues to be leagues beyond it's competition and we expect this new hardware to become a staple behind the booth soon!

Check out this great video demo after the jump.
