DJ Hero.DJ Hero hs been released. Like Guitar Hero before it, DJ Hero challenges you to “master” a virtual instrument, this time it's the turntable. Also like Guitar Hero, it features an easy to pick up but difficult to master type of gameplay. DJ Hero’s accessibility should appeal to game enthusiasts and would-be DJ's to plain old music fans. Featuring 93 original mixes and 102 total songs at launch in genres from dance, to hip-hop to rock and R&B. The basic edition of the game costs $120 including the turntable controller. A special Renegade Edition comes with a 2-CD set featuring many of his greatest hits on one disc and some of Eminem’s on the other (as well as a stand and carrying case). The Renegade Edition will be $200. Still, if you’re a music fan eager to take a stab at DJ technique standards like scratching, crossfading, sampling, and applying effects, it’s cheaper than picking up a pair of Technics 1200 and building a record collection. The title is available now for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 2, and Nintendo Wii.
JAY-Z says “I think after a year with DJ Hero, I’m gonna start DJing parties like Q-Tip and all them,” he said. “I’m gonna work on this for a year, then I’m gonna get me a new Serrato set… Then I’m gonna find out who makes the most as a DJ. I’m gonna charge double." |
