Famed techno jock Christian Smith has announced the relaunch of his once highly anticipated Tronic label. The news has lead to a great buzz among techno fanatics worldwide, probably because they feel that there will be a slew of in-demand re-issues and hot new tuneage around the corner. And they're right.

Marking the re-launch of the Tronic label will be a remix package of the seminal classic Move by Christian Smith & John Selway, which was soriginally released in 2002 on Carl Cox's Intec label. The release comes with remixes by Steve Angello and Dimitri Nakov & Gabe & Ritkam, plus a remastered version of the original. Tronic was founded in 1994 but after a mere three releases, Christian put the label on hold for three years due to his study. Ever since the beginning, the label distinguished itself by releasing material that was suitable for both house & techno DJ's.

As Christian says: “We (myself & John Selway) have never been purists and always made music with proper arrangements. I think this is something that sets our music apart from many other techno producers. We always try to make smooth and gradual arrangements so that the track never gets boring (...).These days I'm very happy that Techno is slower and that House and Techno DJs play a lot of similar tracks. At the end of the day it's about good music.” And that's all there is to it.
