We love Tiga and Alex & Liane never disappoint when it comes to directing weirder than a bizarre gang of high on E grandmas at a Nu-Rave fest kind of music videos. Do check out this awesome video single from Tiga's Ciao! Album out April 27th. "It imagines a horrifying dystopia in which people other than myself are interviewed," says the Man of Music Future, "I had to calm myself down by staring at my Mypace photos for a couple hours."
The Coachella iPhone application includes the Coachella 2009 set times schedule, your custom Coachooser, interactive venue map, friend finder, and Coachella photo uploader. Now the only issue is will it work at the festival! Every year the airwaves are completely jammed it almost makes bringing a cell phone a joke.
The stage selection feature and set time display will not work until the actual set times are announced. As soon as they are live on coachella.com all you have to do is launch the application and as long as you have internet access they will automatically update.
The app is free of course and downloadable from the coachella site here
LA's Paris Hilton turned up at the 1OAK party at Angello’s showcase at WMC in Miami on Thursday night/Friday morning, and found his music “was not even danceable and was frankly giving me a migraine.”
Paris asked one of her friends who runs the hotel to change the music and he said, “I’ll lead you up to the DJ booth and he’ll play whatever you want.”
Steve Angello claims Hilton repeatedly asked him to play hip hop. Paris claims she only asked him to play Bob Sinclar or Daft Punk.
Next thing you know a fight broke out. Paris claims she was shoved .."Then all hell broke loose, it was like something out of a fight movie, it was so frightening. I had never seen anything like it in my life. Doug was fighting off like 6 guys. But he was of course stronger then them all but one of the idiots punched him in the face and busted open his lip. There was blood all over, I cried I was so upset and scared."
Hilton’s friend Doug Reinhardt and her entourage apparently got a kicking for apparently slapping Steve Angello.
Angello on his Twitter said: “for someone who claims to make records...dont come into a booth and ask me to play hip hop and then have your doorman slap me. or at least if you wanna do that.....dont moan about it when we all kicked off. dont be so fucking rude.”

Numark and Serato have jointly developed NS7 to deliver an unprecedented degree of DJ software and hardware-control integration, delivering a completely new DJ experience. ITCH is Serato’s next-generation software, building on the award-winning Scratch LIVE engine, it is fully compatible with libraries, crates, loops and cue points created in Scratch LIVE.
NS7 features two seven-inch motorized, adjustable-torque, aluminum turntable platter controls complete with vinyl, slipmats and 45 RPM adapters. Separating the two turntable decks is a premium DJ mixer with replaceable, digital VCA crossfader and line faders; firm, rubberized knobs; rugged switches and buttons; Strip Search (patent pending) virtual-needle drop controls; and host of other innovative features.
DJs will not only be impressed by NS7’s feel, but also its precision control. Numark and Serato developed a protocol for communication between NS7 and the computer that sends MIDI data over a single USB cable at more than twice the standard speed. The result is extremely high-resolution control with full MIDI compliance.
NS7 contains a high-quality, 24-bit digital audio interface with mic/line input and headphone and system outputs. A single USB cable carries all audio and control data between NS7 and the computer for simplicity of system configuration and minimal setup time.
Nirvana's landmark albums Nevermind, In Utero and the much sought-after MTV Unplugged album will be re-released on 180-gram, audiophile quality vinyl later this year. The news has been announced at the SXSW festival by Monti Olson, founder of the Original Recordings Group who are behind the re-issuing.
"Bernie Grubman remastered the recordings specifically for us," said Olson at the festival. "To our knowledge this is the first time Unplugged has ever come out on vinyl. They might have done a limited promotional thing but I doubt it." The albums will be made available through one-stops and on-line retailers, and indie-label Sub Pop is currently manufacturing Nirvana's debut album Bleach for a vinyl release. The fact that the albums haven't been available in vinyl format till date is remarkable to say the least, but the wait is over, especially since the vinyl market is on the rise again according to Olson. "We have some new accounts that are experimenting with vinyl, like Best Buy. I don't know how strong their initiative is, but they've allotted a little bit of floor space for vinyl. But the bulk of the vinyl in the retail space goes through independent stores - the Amoebas and the Waterloos of the world that have always been in the vinyl business. But what's happening is more and more people are coming in with a curiosity about buying record albums."
Just in case you needed more reasons to attend Beatport’s fabulous pool parties in Miami this week, attendees on Saturday will receive an extra goodie from Berlin-based techno producer Radio Slave via a bluetooth broadcast.
The soundsystem-destroying sonic wizard plans to give away a free track via bluetooth to anybody within range of the stage - that’s basically the entire Beatport Pool Party crowd.
Radio Slave ‘Koma Koma’, which is taken from the final part of the No Sleep series on Rekids, will be floating about in the air like some kind of invisible electronic music fairy dust whilst Radio Slave performs.
All punters need to do is turn on bluetooth on their mobile phones and accept connectivity with the Rekids god (they’ll already be spiritually connected to Radio Slave presumably, so they might as well plug in their devices too).

Los Angeles's Droog is one of the city’s most promising techno collectives.
The trio of Andrei Osyka, Brett Griffin and Justin Sloe are fast becoming one of the West Coast’s most talked about DJ trios. Residents at Avaland, Avalon Holywood now Droog have decided to launch their own label called Culprit, and Seth Troxler, Lee Foss, Lee Curtiss, Kenneth James G., and Jamie Jones all feature on their first EP.
Now you too can sound like Daft Punk with iDaft. It's a fun, silly QWERTY keyboard-triggered web app with all the vocal samples from ‘Harder Better Faster Stronger’
As if the Coachella lineup wasn't already amazing enough, 5 new acts have been added and sadly, some have dropped from the list. Amy Winehouse is out, but The Chemical Brothers will be on hand Saturday to perform a dj set and The Orb will thrill techno fans, along with French dance pioneer Etinne de Crecy and his massive "Cube" stage show. Freak folker Devendra Banhart also joins the line-up, along with Seattle punks Murder City Devils.
Coolio has officially been charged with felony cocaine possession -- and two other misdemeanors -- after cops say they found drugs in his luggage at LAX last week.
Officials claim Coolio, real name Artis Leon Ivey, grabbed a screener's arm in an effort to stop the search -- and for that, officials also tacked on a misdemeanor battery charge.
The rapper also faces one misdemeanor count of possession of a smoking device.
Coolio, who's due back in court April 3rd, faces up to three years in state prison if he's convicted.
There's a new Sherrif in town and he goes by Sharam (known to many as one half of Grammy Award-winning DJ super-duo Deep Dish) This April 7th Ultra Records will release Get Wild, his debut studio album featuring new material from Daniel Bedingfield, P. Diddy, Tommy Lee, and Kid Cudi.
This spring, Sharam brings his “Get Wild – The Live Show” to select major markets across North America as part of his album tour. He has produced a show incorporating guest appearances by the featured artists on the album and visual elements from a spaghetti Western-themed short film which he wrote and directed. The show also incorporates videos for the title track “Get Wild” and the single “She Came Along” with Kid Cudi which he also directed. The tour will kick off March 20 in Austin during SXSW and will pass through Miami during WMC, as well as Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, Boston, Chicago, Minneapolis, Toronto and more.
Get Wild will be available in two formats: a single-disc version and a collector edition consisting of 22 original songs spread over two CDs, titled WildDish and SideDish, of which only 2500 will be made. The songs range from house gems to techno-infused anthems to hit singles. Included is “Sweat” which features Tommy Lee on piano, “She Came Along,” a collaboration with Kid Cudi featuring vocal samples of “Strange” by Patsy Cline.
