Conceived in the Spring of 2006 from the minds that brought you the distinguished Get Physical record label to fame; Kindisch (Childish) is the playground where artists are invited to run free and experiment within all the varieties of contemporary House music.
Adoration for House music with no boundaries or borders is the basis for the Berlin based label, that strives to pump fun, freedom and creativity back into the House music scene. A testament to accomplishing that can be seen in their world wide popularity and their tracks dropping into the bags and charts of DJ's such as Derrick Carter, Claude Von Stroke, Lee Burridge, Jesse Rose and many others.
Their site has finally gone online and we have decided to commemorate it with a mix of what we think are some of our best moments in the labels brief but potent history.

AVALAND Hollywood celebrates it's 4 Year Anniversary this week with electronic music's most prodigious live act - Booka Shade. Booka Shade has been busy recently touring the world in support of their 3rd album - The Sun and the Neon Light - which included a recent stop in So Cal at uber festival Coachella. Armed with an entire new album, Booka Shade's follow up performance to their amazing March 2007 show at Avalon will be an unforgettable night that will remind us why we love electronic music so much. Trent Cantrelle will play an extended closing set after Booka Shade to launch his Sounds Like Avaland Residency. If you have been to Avalon recently you might have been lucky enough to pick up Trent's mixed CD that has been floating around the club. If not you can download it here. Our residents Droog open the night who just played a great closing set this past Saturday after Sebastien Leger in the main room.
The terrace is hosted by Urban LA Nights - our other Avaland Residents made up of Cameron Van Peebles and Sean O'Hara. Monday Night Social hosts the Honey room this week with Freddy Be and Kazell.

Currently residing in New York City, Three has been tirelessly holding the flag for underground electronic music in the US since his rise out of the sunny state of Florida in the early 90's. In that time, he's emerged as one of the brightest DJ talents in the US and continues to be a true inspiration for many of us. Three’s tour dates show both diversity in audience and a genre-bending passion for good music; he’s held residencies at NYC’s Twilo, Cielo (Robots) and Love, as well as Florida’s legendary Simon’s while playing lauded guest spots at San Francisco’s Wicked party, Fabric (UK) and forward thinking events like Japan’s Labyrinth festival and Australia’s Rainbow Serpent..

There's not a lot of info about Chromeo's forthcoming appearance on Yo Gabba Gabba! other than this incredible photo they just posted on their MySpace. But we're gonna go out on a limb and hypothesize that, even if Dave 1and P Thugs guest appearance doesn't reach Stevie Wonder on Sesame Street levels of children's broadcasting excellence (jeez, could anything?), it will rank about even with previous YGG! cameos, which have included the likes of Biz Markie and Paper Rad, and be waaaaaaay more fun for the youth of today than REM singing with Telly Monster.
